Boys Program:

Team B.C. Boys- Payment Schedule

All Cheques made to: BCWPA
$300 Deposit Due: April 6, 2010

16U Boys

Full Trip Payment is due to the travel agent 60 days prior to the trip:
Balance of $2410 Due: May 20, 2010
$101 Cancellation Insurance Needed. With the recent events in Europe with the volcanic activity, we need to include this insurance. This cost is added in the balance due.

18U Boys:

Full Trip Payment along with $101 trip cancellation due to the travel agency 60 days prior to travel:
Balance of $2410 Due: June 2, 2010

Cost for training:

16U $350: Due June 15th
18U $375: Due June 15st
There may be added costs for Team suits and uniform. A parent meeting will take place to discuss these items.

Girls Program

Team B.C. Girls Program Payment Schedule:

Hawaii Deposit $500 Due: April 23, 2010
We will send out the final costing once we have the flights and hotel booked. The tournament entry has already been sent.

A meeting will be set up with the chaperone/managers once we have more details and to discuss further costs for Team Suits and team outfits.

These are for each of the Boys teams travelling to Croatia in August (dates shown below). These positions will be filled from the pool of applicants received by Friday April 9th, 2010. Please reply by email including a brief personal reference including any prior experience in tasks of this nature.

Team BC Boys - Croatia Trip

Common Itinerary information:
Flight is Vanc. to Frankfurt, Germany then Frankfurt to Split, Croatia.
Then they will have a bus to take them for the 2 hour ride to Gradac, Croatia

There will be many scrimmages and practices with local teams along with the tournament.

For parents there is an opportunity to join the team - there can be an offer of tickets for $2350 (flight/accom and maybe the food) first come first serve UNTIL Monday only !

BC Water Polo is near finalization of its plans for the 2010 Team BC program.

Tryouts

Boys: Saturday March 20th at CCAC [5:30 - 7:30 16U and 7:00 - 9:00 18U]

Girls: Sunday March 21st at VAC [ 9:00 - 1:30]

Team BC Head Coaches Announced

British Columbia Water Polo Association is pleased to announce the selection of its Team BC Head coaches for the 2010 session.

Angela Johnson will be heading up the girls squads and Nikola Maric will head the boys.

Both coaches bring a great deal of experience to their positions and they are looking forward to building on the previous success of the program. With the aid and support of all our coaches and through this program BCWPA looks forward to preparing our athletes for future water polo challenges.

Team BC Assistant Coaches - Applications being accepted Now

BCWPA is pleased to announce openings for assistant coaches for each of our boys and girls Team BC Squads. Applications will be accepted form with qualifications of Level 1 and MED. If interested please send a letter of application, qualifications and water polo history to bcwaterpolo@telus.net by March 10, 2010

Player Eligibility

Please note that any athletes not attending youth (18U) Nationals and just participating in tryouts for team BC will still be eligible to play BCSSA water polo. However, If they attend even one practice they lose their eligibility.
